ORPHEUS ®

The NEO PI-R is based on decades of factor analytic
research with adult populations.
Orpheus is a work-based measure of personality, developed entirely in
the UK. Using it
will provide you with a comprehensive measure of a
candidate’s personality, assessing
traits that will determine typical
performance.
It is important to ensure that incoming employees have the necessary
characteristics
needed to fit perfectly into your organisation. Regular
assessment of ability will provide
you with an indication of a person’s
capabilities, but can you be sure that their preferred
work style and
motivations will fit with the role within your organisation?
An Orpheus report will answer the most important questions about both
potential and
current employees:
o How will potential employees integrate into the team?
o How do they cope in stressful and demanding environments?
o Can they think for themselves?
o Will they really FIT into your organisation?
Orpheus may also help to increase your retention of staff by helping to
increase an
individuals fit to the role and by choosing people who will
understand and respect
what your organisation stands for.
Orpheus is
based on the well-established ‘Big Five’ model, currently recognised
as the most stable and well-defined structure of personality.
Specifically, Orpheus provides measures along the following dimensions:
o Fellowship
o Authority
o Conformity
o Emotion
o Detail.
The measures provided by Orpheus have been standardised on a
wide-ranging,
UK working population and add value to the processes of
selection, team-
building
and personal development.
In addition to the ‘Big Five’ scales, Orpheus also provides an
assessment of individual
strengths and styles along the following
dimensions:
o Proficiency
o Work-orientation
o Patience
o Fair-mindedness
o Disclosure
o Loyalty
o Initiative.
Orpheus also identifies irregular response patterns, such as ‘answering
in a socially
desirable way’ or ‘faking good’. This helps to ensure a
more accurate interpretation
of scores.
ADMINISTRATION AND SCORING
Estrado is the software platform which allows you to administer, score
and generate
reports for Orpheus. It is now easy to incorporate ability
measures
with this personality
measure.
The Estrado software platform is designed in a modular fashion so you
can add verbal reasoning (W-GCTAUK) and numerical reasoning (RANRA).
NARRATIVE REPORTS
In addition to a profile across the 12 dimensions and the provision of 4
indicator scores,
a full narrative report is available whether Orpheus
is administered by paper-and-pencil or computer. This option provides
automatic interpretation of scale scores and interactions. Orpheus
narratives can be generated by the user on our new Estrado software.
Alternatively
a bureau service is provided by which Harcourt Assessment
scores completed questionnaires and generates both
profiles and
narrative reports as requested.
